No to the backpack.....Yes to the wheeled duffel

OK two sleeps left and we are off. Well most of you have heard the bad news by now Caitlyn fractured her clavicle two days ago so puts a weeee bit of a damper on the journey but hard to keep us Giffs down so onward....Just glad we were already booked to go she needs a good nurse......So as the title said did not go for the back pack actually bought a wheeled duffel bag pretty handy and I did still keep it light as we are on the move in Australia. Will also be helping with Caits bags so better idea. Actually Rob liked mine so well he switched too. So last bit of packing pretty much done tonight just a few last minute things to go. The plan is drive to Ottawa at around 2 pm Wed and fly out around 5 pm to Vancouver then around 11 pm out of Vancouver straight to Sydney. Ok hi to all I am just organizing this site and testing the settings to make sure you are all connected please let me know if you want to be removed or if you wish to stay on to get updates when we are away.....just a bit over a week until we fly. So I did get the back packs and although my stuff fits not sure if this will be ideal for me Rob loves his but I may go back to a real suitcase.......we are considering the space we might need in rental cars with luggage etc. Anyway the count is on....Cyndisue

Well here we are two weeks away from a trip to the land of Oz. So much to do and so little time to do it in. Starting to think about the clothes to take and places to see. Have been working at booking hotels and side trips. Our plan is as follows fly into Sydney stay 2 days fly to Melbourne rent a car and drive to Adelaide over 5 days definitely stopping at a few wineries on the way. Once in Adelaide we will fly to Cairnes for some fun North at the great barrier reef and rainforest after 4 days in the north we fly back south to visit Brisbane and the sunshine coast. Well will try to keep you posted. Waiting for my 70 liter backpack to arrive to see if I can pack light not convinced yet.....anyway stay tuned.......Cyndisue
